Grocery Shopping for a Good Cause

Whole Foods Market Marlton will team with a local nonprofit to support abused and neglected children. On Thursday, September 22nd, we will donate 5% of proceeds to Community Treatment Solutions (CTS), an organization that provides counseling services, therapeutic foster homes, and programs that build hopes and dreams for children who have faced abuse and neglect.

Door prizes, handouts, and a celebrity guest will be part of the event. Older teens in the CTS program will be provided a brief job-training and customer service program so that the youth can participate as guest baggers during the 5% Day. Whole Foods Market holds 5% Days four times per year as part of its Community Giving program. Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Moorestown, CTS supports over 250 abused and neglected children each year throughout southern New Jersey.

Community Treatment Solutions (CTS)
and Perkins Center for the Arts

Edgy Collingswood Perkins Center was Back Drop for Fundraiser Featuring Original Works of Art, Live Latin Jazz, Wine and Hors d’oeuvres

Last fall, more than 200 guests joined Community Treatment Solutions (CTS) and Perkins Center for the Arts to celebrate Arts JAM!, an innovative fundraiser to raise awareness of and support for these regional non-profit organizations.

Tropical jazz performed by the Latin jazz group En Passant filled the air in Perkins’ Collingswood facility’s edgy, industrial space while guests mingled, viewed and bid on original art by 27 Perkins’ faculty and exhibiting artists. In addition to the art sale, auction and music, guests enjoyed beer, wine and the company of people who share a commitment to the arts and the welfare of children and families.

Proceeds from the event benefited the respective missions of CTS and Perkins and launched what both organizations believe will be a long, fruitful relationship with opportunities for future collaboration.
